Rather than heavy stainless steel, Yeti uses high impact polypropylene plastic for the Silo, which keeps the weight down. The trade-off is worth understanding: it’ll keep drinks cold for hours, but it won’t hold ice for as long as the Rambler Jug. That makes it a practical everyday hydration jug rather than a long-haul ice cooler.
The included MagSlider Straw Cap makes drinking simple. You sip from the MagSlider flip-up straw lid and, when it’s time to move on, close the straw cap for a covered, leakproof seal. The ergonomic carry handle doubles as a hook, so the jug can hang up and comfortably carry from place to place. For easy cleaning, all Silo Jugs and components are dishwasher safe. Note that Silo Jugs are not intended for use with hot beverages; use with cold or room temperature drinks only.
