The Weber Flame iQ is a flame safeguard system designed specifically for the Weber Baby Q range, suited to the Q1000N and Q1200N 3rd Generation models. Once fitted and in use, it continuously senses for a flame at the burner of your Baby Q, giving you added convenience and peace of mind while you cook. It is a practical upgrade for anyone who regularly uses a portable gas barbecue at home, at the campsite, or on a day away.
The standout feature is the built-in reignition functionality. If the flame is blown out, the Flame iQ works to reignite the burner so your food still cooks through as intended. For added safety, a lockout mode activates after three unsuccessful reignition attempts, shutting off the gas supply to the burner. There is also a maximum pre-set run time, with the system automatically cutting the gas supply after eight hours of continuous use, which helps save gas if the barbecue is left running.
Installation is straightforward, as the Flame iQ can be retrofitted by the user without the need to replace an existing Baby Q. Intuitive indicator lights on the control panel make it easy to check what is happening inside the barbecue at a glance. The unit is IP44 rated for outdoor use and requires a power supply, making it a considered addition to any Weber Baby Q gas barbecue setup.
